Joining a special collection marking the 55th anniversary of Seiko’s first diver’s watch, this extraordinary Automatic Diver, available only in a limited edition of 1,700, with the serial number engraved on each caseback, also celebrates Seiko’s role in Antarctic exploration as essential equipment for the work of the Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition (JARE). The smoothly tapered case, crafted of Seiko’s new Ever-Brilliant Steel, for an exceptional level of corrosion resistance and a lighter, brighter finish, features hairline finishing to suggest a glacier. Designed to evoke the ocean depths at the point at which blue yields to darkness, the marine blue dial features a date calendar and LumiBrite hands and markers.
