As Seiko 5 Sports celebrates its 55th anniversary, the venerable Japanese maker introduces a new sports watch inspired by the Super Cub, one of the world’s most-produced motorcycles of all time. This special limited-edition watch expresses the first-generation Super Cub’s design from 1958 in every detail, and comes equipped with a nylon NATO style strap which enables the watch to be worn over or under a motorcycle jacket with ease.

Favored by motorcycle fans worldwide, the Super Cub was introduced in 1958 and has since become one of Honda’s most representative creations. In 2017, the cumulative production of the series exceeded 100 million units. Like the preceding Honda Cub limited editions, the dial captures the Super Cub silhouette as seen from the front, with the indexes representing the headlights and blinkers. Further details persist throughout the crown and strap, where you’ll find clever incorporation of both the Super Cub logo and Honda’s earliest logo.

This watch is powered by Seiko’s own 4R36 automatic movement with 41 hours of power reserve, and a day/date complication. Its exhibition caseback bears the individual number of the piece, as well as the Honda Super Cub logo.
